Overdue Vacation Pictures

At the end of July Ian, Heidi and I along with my parents flew to Salt Lake City,UT to visit family.

Ian got to sit in the pilots seat. He was a little overwhelmed by it all; Ian likes to twirl his hair when he is thinking about something. I was nervous he would bump something and the plane would end up crashing because of it. He tells us daily that he wants to go on Jet Blue and go to Aunt Patty's house. We also had to use up 4-5 barf bags and just before arriving back in S.D he threw up allover himself and me. So much fun!

Heidi playing in a jumper looking cute as ever.

Ian with his 5 2nd cousins all born within 2 months of each other. He had so much fun playing with them. Too bad they live in Utah and Texas.

Dinosaur Park!!!!

We spent one afternoon at Dinosaur Park. There were over 100 life size replicas of dinosaurs in a natural setting. Kind of like the Wild Animal Park except you're guaranteed to see the animals. Ian was in heaven.

Heidi was too but unlike Ian who knows the names of most dinosaurs she just walked around pointing saying "rah" to every dinosaur. I sure wish we had a place like this close to home.

Anyone with kids that like to watch The Wonderpets will understand why Ian spent 30 minutes talking to the mechanical baby triceratops as he tried to save it from the t-rex. There is always some animal in trouble and I hear this at least a dozen times a day, "Oh no mommy! The baby (insert animal name i.e. triceratops) is in trouble and needs it's mommy" I dubbed in the mommy triceratops voice and Ian really thought she was talking and I said " Oh Ian will you help my baby?" Ian then tried to scale the fence to get into the exhibit. He really thought they were real and that he could save this baby triceratops.

Does anyone else find this cartoon a little disturbing?
