So Uncle Ben got to run in the Olympic Trails for the steeplechase on Saturday. He got 1st place in his semi-final race on Thursday, but his foot started hurting after the race. I was soooo nervous on Saturday waiting for the final race to start since I knew his foot was hurting. He has trained so hard for this moment. When the race started I could tell at the first hurdle that he was not his normal running self. As it progressed my mom, who was in the audience, called to say he was in pain. Yes he technically got last in the final race but based on his time in the semi-final race he would have gotten 4th. I am so proud of my baby brother. 4th in th USA is awesome Ben! You're a hero an inspiration, especially when I'm out running myself.

You can't feel too bad for him though since he's on a plane right now headed for Belgium and the Netherlands to compete in more races. Have fun Ben!
