O.k. so here is our complete collection of the Kung Fo Panda happy meal toys. I have to explain that we are not fast food people at all so "Happy Meals" are not a word in my kids vocabulary. However, Ian somehow saw a commercial for Kung Fo Panda and I figured that even though we haven't seen the movie, chances are Ian will love it and then in a few months I'll be going from store to store trying to find all the action figures. ( We've gone through this with Cars and Shrek toys already.) So we started getting Happy Meals 12 days ago. Finally after visiting McDonalds in cities such as Los Angeles, Visalia, Bakersfield, a truck stop along the 5 Freeway(these were during our vacation), 2 Wal Marts, and 4 McDonalds here in Temecula, not to mention the phone calls to various other locations we have them all. When getting Master Viper I had called ahead to see what toy was available. We got to the drive thru about an hour later only to be told they no longer had the viper. I told the guy we drove all the way here for the viper. He said with surprisement, "You drove all the way here for a toy?giggle giggle" "Yes" I said, "I know that is pathetic but it's what you do for your kids." He laughed at me and went to go find the viper. We got it. I had to call myself "pathetic" but I was secretly very satisfied that we accomplished our goal.


By the way, Ian got a haircut if you didn't notice. I always give him his haircuts but somehow the clipper had a mind of it's own and I cut the top too short. So he ended up with a buzz cut. Not intentional- I almost started crying, I love Ian's hair and it was all gone. It will grow back. In the meantime he has a great summer haircut and it is fun to feel.
