Runaway Stroller!!!!

One of Ian's first rides in the stroller around 6 months.

So I was getting the old jogging stroller ready to sell at my friends garage sale last Saturday but wanted one last picture of Ian in his stroller he spent 100's of hours in before Heidi was born. I'm so sentimental that even though the frame of the stroller was bent, the basket had a tear, it didn't recline at all, not to mention I have already replaced it with my beloved BOB Jogger just like my double jogger, I still had a hard time letting go. So many memories.

The final memory of this stroller will be forever etched in my mind as follows.

"Here Ian, get in your old stroller so I can take a picture of you."
"Oh the sun is too bright in your face, let me move it."
"Heidi get out of the wagon" "No don't do that"
Mom moves stroller from the garage to the edge of the lawn/driveway, the sprinklers go on, haha take the picture anyways.
"Oh no Heidi, don't fall out of the wagon"
Mom runs back into the garage to save Heidi from toppling head first out of wagon.
Mom hears "Mommy!!! Look at me!!!" she turns around and see's Ian leaning out of the stroller with an unsure smile as the stroller is taking off down the street. I did mention there wern't any brakes didn't I?
Mom abandons Heidi and takes off at an Olympic pace in flip flops and camera in tow chasing after Ian as he heads towards the neighbors house across the street, then the stroller vears right and heads towards the T in our street, "Oh no, this is where cars come around the corner, please don't let anyone be coming right now, but wait it vears right again and ends up back on our side of the street on the corner house. Did I mention the frame was bent and out of allignment?

Ian had a fun ride, mom was terrified and laughing hysterically at the same time, and Heidi managed to not kill herself in the garage. We then took the stroller to Sharon's house and said goodbye for the last time. Oh the memories of our red stroller, it was a good stroller and is most likely in a Tijuana swap meet. Make some mom happy.

Hi Jenny! I'm so sad that I wasn't in Utah when you came to visit. The last time I saw you was when they dedicated that park to Grandpa. But atleast you have a blog, so now I can see you and your darling little ones. I'd love to see more pic's of the rest of your family as well. Take care.
