Today started with Heidi reading a book in her crib. One which she managed to get by herself from her nightstand. She is very resourceful.
We thought it would be nice to go hiking at Santa Rosa Plateau since it was a little over cast and had hoped there would still be water in the vernal pools. Unfortunately Ian decided he was sick. You know Ian's sick when he's outside on a trail, you hand him a stick and say"Lets go find some frogs and snakes." And he says "I want to go home." We carried him to the pools and he cheered up a bit. Heidi, being a professional walker, gladly gave up her ride in the backpack carrier for big boy Ian and thought she could walk the 1 mile to the car. Mom had to eventually convince her to let her carry her or we'd still be there walking back to the car. When we got home Ian did start throwing up. Guess he wasn't faking it. Poor guy!
